If it is just a question of whether I want it, I say no I don't.

People play the Sims if they want to go about the mundain tasks of every day life in a virtual word....... people play GW because it is basicly a combat strategy game, with minor RPG elements. Now there are some fun minigames they could add to the game, to pass the time, but if they are going through the trouble of that, I hope it is really good minigames, not some task that I end up doing just because it makes money. I know I didn't see crafting on the back of the GW box, and I wasn't looking for it iether.

We do need more stuff to do and it would be nice if we could do some of this stuff in towns to build a sense of community up some.

I have enough quests, missions, farming and skill capping to do in this game without adding chores.

People who like this, obviously didn't get the point of the game.

Crafting ect. is grinding. I didn't buy a new life, i bought a game.

Thank almighty powers, that ANet already stated, that they didn't want to do this.

Also, if you do this, GW isn't a unique game anymore, it would become another MMORPG in the endless line.

lol this debate was on another thread anet did say they are adding fishing and stuff to this game. they called it life skills!

another thing this game is getting boring soo anet needs to add these things or get left behinde, Anet has already pissed of alot of their pve players because of (PVP). Anet already has a bad name amoung rpg players. Getting rid of a bad name is hard to do, look at wend's barger fanchise with their bad name. If net want to stay in the mmorpg market they are going to have add these things.

I am sorry pvp players are going to lose on this for sure. it doesnot matter if most of the beta testers are pvp players, the fact is if anet doesnot smarten up they soon find themselve out of jobs! Do you really think, life skills or rpg talents are just asked on these fourms!!!!

lol I think it would be neat...will lower the prices on some stuff im sure. I think it will be good as long as they dont make it a bot-ish feature...like...you can leave your character mining...or fishing...and leave your it going for days.

Well I don't mind them but i will not use them. This is not the typical mmorpg. If the masses of users want them I don't see why not include them but if I call someone from the guild and he replys "ok, but after 10 mins, I am fishing" he will get special threat :P

Fishing could just be a new way of farming - whatever you catch could drop items or gold - or attack you if they were something semi-aquatic LOL - and this would make farming a bit more vairied.

Lumberjacking/ Mining/ Crafting whatever would just be things to do if you have nothing else to do. I dont have a problem with that. But I'm not shure if I like the idea of missions/ quests whatever based on them.

Anet should make it so you dont have to do them if you don't want too.
